As a class we created a "nameplate" to show off some skills and things to know about me. We went to look back on things we believe should be changed and to use out new skills we have learned in this class. I saw that it did not follow many guidelines and was messier than I wanted. I also saw that I had too many photos and it made the nameplate very crowded and too busy.
This is my "business card". We personally created one that would apply to either the yearbook or newspaper staff. We used the skills we learned to create our own card with by using our creativity. The things I like about this card is that it looks almost identical to what I had in my head for it to look like. The gold and the purple also looks good together. I found what I needed to change and I did so using my improved skills.
In class we created an "infographic" from scratch to follow information we got by sending a survey to whoever we felt could answer it. This is one of my more favorite things I have made and I highly enjoy making infographics. This piece took a lot of precision and movement to get everything right. I used a lot of skill I have learned in this class and put it into this.
This is my most favorite project we have done in this class. I enjoyed making the layout of the photos and choosing colors to use. I used my highest level of skill on this and I am very proud of the outcome and all I have learned helped me make it as good as it is.
In my InDesign class we do projects over all types of things. We mostly work on things relating to yearbook layouts but we also do projects about newspaper layouts. In this "Newspaper Broadsheet" project we followed all of the correct spacing rules. I used everything I learned and all the information and skills I have created to know and make the layout and get the spacing right just by knowing the rules. I liked creating the infographic at the end of paper and making the captions for the pictures.
In this project we had to create a "News Magazine" based off of two stories provided. We also had to create an infographic over each story and I like my designs of them. I created a specific pull quote for one of the stories and that is a new skill I learned and put on the page. I fixed the basic rules of spacing and moved photos and put them in the ride place and size.
